Last day in Bankura

Hi everyone! India is great so far. The place where we are staying in Bankura is lovely: we get three square meals per day and we get lifts back and forth to the work site in jeeps. Today is our last day in Bankura and we are moving to the next site later today. We went to the local village basically every night and bought out all of their dairy mild and crisps! So that by the fourth day they had restocked way more of what we eat! We went for a bike ride last Wednesday at dawn – there was a bund (strike) so that only two wheeled vehicles were allowed on the road. We had to walk over 12K to the site. We got oxen and carts back so it wasn’t that bad but later when everyone went to the village all the shops were closed because of the strike. The guy who owned a shop was standing at the side of the road with a big box of dairymilk and it was just funny because he knew we came specifically for that . The Indian’s are very enterprising!
