Ireland vs India International Soccer Match

The India Eleven

The Starting Irish Eleven

Friendly Start

The Bench.... super subs

Team Mascot, our dog, Waggs.... and supporters

Rachek wearing the Irish colours

Ireland 2 India 1

Doolin captained the Irish with great assurance, marshalling his troops and commanding the back of the field with equal skill in the air and on the ball.

Our rag-tag team of JS reliables and local recruits prevailed over a skillful Indian team in a most exciting game, the result of which was in doubt right up to the last dusky heart-throbbing moment.

Sean acted as player manager, substituting Dara, who was still suffering from a knock he got during practice, with Trish, who ran on to a mighty roar from the crowd.

Our victory was hard won but all the sweeter for that because of the thrashing we got last year in Shankipur.

No wonder Ireland won 2 to 1, they had 13 in their starting 11. You are looking great Shane, with that tan you could pass off as one of the Indians, enjoy the rest of the trip. Dad
