A week ago today we were bidding farewell to the Loreto girls in Kolkata and heading out on our journey home. This Monday morning we return to school after a week spent recovering and enjoying damp Irish weather.
My assessment of these young adults is completely positive. Despite their apparent lack of group cohesion in the classroom before we left they worked together in India in a most remarkable way, not only on the building site but also in caring for each other and honouring the agreement they made before we left to obey the rules.
They can be proud of their many excellent qualities and their considerable achievements.
