Dear John sir, Irish teachers and students,
We were really happy that you decided to come to our school and make your presence felt.
You people have done a lot for the betterment of uneducated children in the rural areas, even women in the Sunderbans.
We will always remember those two days which we spent in Joka (at the conference) and each of you have left an imprint on us. For instance John sir's magnanimous personality shone through, so did Ben's charming eccentricity and his attempt at public speaking was applauded, but we all adored him. Susie was quite able to handle all the fuss we made in Joka. Jack's humorous side made us all smile and Eva was a sweetheart. We enjoyed the football match between the Bratachari boys and the John Scottus boys. Andrew and Connor (the tall one) provided comic relief. And here's hoping Connor (the tall one again!) didn't find us boring. We were also delighted to know that someone called Chaitanya was in your group (as Chaitanya is an Indian name!). Lorcan's rendition of "The Book of Love" was heart-warming.
We're sorry that we missed out mentioning everyone by name but we assure you every single person will be missed.
All of us made good friends with the John Scottus students and wish that you come back next year. Hope all of you go back to Ireland with a lot of fond memories and had a wonderful time during your stay here.
Divyani, Ipsita, Pulama, Sanchalita, Debleena and Sarodhian
