The Work Of Loretto Day School

The work of Loretto day school is very simple, all they want to do is stop the vicous cycle of poverty. At the moment the school is taking in 50% street children and 50% higher class children. The youngest child they have is 3years old. Most children that are schooled there are taught to teach so they can help other children that dont have as good an oppurtunity as them. The day begins early at approx. half 7. There is assembly at 8 were all the children gather to pray for that day. They then go to their classes and at around 1 they have dinner which is quite simple but yet they are very content with it. The children are so friendly and want nothing more then you attention and love. They are fluent in english and also speak their local language.

Rachel,

Great to see your comment - the children seem to have lots of energy! Hope that you are taking loads of photos.
