Swimming in Bay of Bengal

Swimming in Bay of Bengal.

After working on our new building site from 8am to 2pm under Robert Kortenhorst's iron fist, we set off for the beach. Water was lovely, but not as warm as expected. Beach stretched for miles in both directions, and we were the only group there. Unfortunately we came close to attracting a crowd - the girls are obliged to wear t-shirts over swimgear into the water [local customs] and one or two forgot. There was a layer of mud underfoot, and you could walk out quite a way into the water without having to swim.

We're just about to head back to the beach after day 2 of building, and Mr Alex has just left the cyber cafe in the local town to buy towels, footballs and a cricket bat.

Hi Sorcha and Team 2010. Thank you for keeping us informed I love the info and the photos. Keep up the good work (although it looks like a piece of cake all that swimming, football etc). Keep safe, healthy and enjoy the trip. Mary (Sorcha's Mam who misses her like crazy)
